Heartland Daycare is looking for attentive and patient individuals to care for children at its facility. To be successful in a daycare, you should be caring, patient, flexible, and detail oriented. You should have an understanding of the childhood development process.
- TEACHERS: Must be at least 18 years of age and meet one of nine possible combined credentials in accordance with www.revisor.mn.gov/rules/9503.0032/
- TEACHER AIDES: Must be at least 18 years of age
Daycare staff will:
- assist children with behavioral and emotional needs,
- maintain hygiene,
- monitor children for health concerns,
- provide children with age-appropriate instruction,
- ensure children are learning and socializing in a positive way,
- assist with disinfecting of toys and play areas, and
- ensure children are in a safe, engaging, and clean environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide care for children, such as developing routines, feeding, changing diapers, toilet training, disinfecting/cleaning rooms and toys, etc.
- Organize and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities to ensure children learn skills such as communication, manners, etc.
- Work with parents to help children progress towards educational and behavioral goals.
- Keep records of children’s progress, routines, and interests.
- Prepare / organize meal times and snacks.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Decisiveness, patience, and stamina to chase after, lift, or assisting children.
- Exceptional communication, teaching and interpersonal skills.
- NOTE: Additional education, experience, certifications, and training in the childcare field might be required
